Bowling Accessories

There are many different accessories that you can have for bowling. Anything from owning your own ball to having tape to put in the finger holes for better grip. These and everything in between can be considered bowling accessories.

Bowling Balls

I think bowling balls can be considered an accessory. Yes you need a ball to bowl, but you don’t have to own your own ball making owning your own ball an accessory. There are many bowling balls to choose from and all are different in some way so choosing a ball can be time consuming if you don’t know what type of ball you’re looking for.

There are different brands of bowling balls: Brunswick, Columbia, Ebonite, Track, etc. just to name a few. There are different categories that you can choose from such as performance balls, mig-range balls, beginner/spare balls, etc. Depending on what type of ball you actually looking for will influence the ball you buy.

The price of balls differ just as much as the type. You can find bowling balls as cheap as $40 and as much as in the $200. It all depends on what ball it is and what it will do. You also have to choose the weight of your ball, but that is normally the easiest part of choosing a ball.

Bowling Shoes

Just like bowling balls you need bowling shoes to bowl. Just like golf has their own type of shoes so does bowling. When it comes to shoes you want to find a comfortable pair of shoes. There are different brands of shoes just like bowling balls.

There are also shoes for men, women, and kids. There are different colors that you can choose from. So there is something for everyone and it can be a lot to choose from. Some people just want plain black shoes and other want something more exotic(like Hot Pink).

You can find a pair of shoes for as cheap as under $30 and you can find shoes for $100 or more. It all depends on the shoe and who makes it and what type of shoe it is. Keep in mind bowling shoes run in smaller sizes than regular tennis shoes so you might want to buy a smaller pair of bowling shoes( about a half size to a full size smaller).

Bowling Bags

A bowling bag is something you have to own if you own your own ball and shoes. Just like shoes and balls there are many many different bags to choose from. There are brands you can choose from. Say you own a Brunswick ball and shoes, you could get a Brunswick bag.

They have bags that carry 1 ball, 2 balls, 3 balls, 4 balls, 5 balls, and 6 balls. With bags that carry 1 ball or 2 balls you can choose from a bag that rolls or a tote bag. 3 balls and up you would want a rolling bag because that many balls would get heavy to carry around.

They have bags for women, men, and kids. You can find ball bags that carry 1 ball for as low as $30 and of coarse the more balls a bag carry the more it cost.

Extra Bowling Accessories

There aa lot of other accessories that bowlers buy. Just like balls, shoes, and bags these extra accessories have different brands. Some of the most popular accessories that bowlers have are oil-off towels, 2 dry-grip ball, shoe covers, bowlers tape, and a shoe brush.

A oil-off towel is used to wipe off any extra oil the ball gets from going down the lane. A 2 dry-grip ball is used to give a bowler a better grip of the ball. Bowlers use shoe covers to place over their shoes when going to the bathroom or just walking around after games.

These covers protect the bowlers shoes from stepping in some wet spots which would cause the bowler to stick when wanting to slide on the lane. Bowlers tape is used to give a bowler more grip of the ball also. A shoe brush can be used to help a bowler slide better on the lane.

There are many other accessories that bowlers use, but these are just some of the most popular ones. You should get yourself the latest accessories.
