“My name is Arafat Barghouti, I am 30 years old, from Ramallah. I have been studying in Birzeit University since 2001. Of course since 2001, I have been arrested several times, I was arrested 4 times, the total time I was detained being 6 years and 7 months. Most of the time I spent in prison was in administrative detention. The last three times I was in administrative detention, I spent approximately 4 and a half years in total. The reason for my arrest and detention was indirect and unclear, based on a secret file that neither the lawyer nor prisoner are allowed to see.”
